What if my registration renewal is late?

Even if you are only one day late, the State of Arizona charges a late fee of $8.00.  For the next month, it is only $4.00 for that month (and each thereafter).  For example, if you are three months late, your extra fee (penalty) would be $8 + $4 + $4 or $16.00.

Important :::

If you dropped insurance for any reason and did not notify MVD, you will have to go to an MVD office and sort that out with them in person.  We cannot renew your registration if you have not solved this problem first.  And - we charge a $5 administrative fee when we refund your money if you have an insurance drop code on your vehicle.
